Western Union Clocks!!

wow - good find kenglish! I want one! Brings back great memories -- hated it how the second hand would sometimes freeze (to catch up) at the top of the hour to create dead air between my live ID and the mighty Mutual Radio News!

Dx7 mentioned Mutual News. It brought back memories of a station I worked for. We aired a Mutual newscast fed just before the top of the hour. Seems like it started at 57:30. Back in the day, it was harder than hell to back time to. I'm a top of the hour guy.

I remember running Mutual for years and dealing with odd backtiming. And the Western Union clocks and old Teletype machines really stir up old memories. I dealt with all of the above.
 
Teletype. Lowest guy on the totem pole had to change the ribbon. 409 worked really well to get the ink off the fingers.
