Got an e-mail from Westlake Electronic Supply this morning, saying that Belden is terminating their contracts with them, for taking on the Gepco line.

I didn't realize Westlake was still around. Where are they located these days?

Are these the same people who brought us the amazing Westlake Studio Monitors back in the 1970's?

Not the same folks...I asked that, too. (I helped manhandle four of those Westlake monitors in to the ceiling of Capricorn Studios in 1972. Love the mahogany horns.)

Westlake Supply is in Woodinville, Washington...I think it's outside Seattle.

Yep. Near Bothell. Same town where Mackie is based.

When I bought from them they were actually on... Westlake... in downtown Seattle. Which shows how old I am.

I like the Gepco cable , i've used quite a bit of their snake cable and have been more than happy with it.

This is an odd move by Belden, are they really that threatened by Gepco?
