I remember a couple years back that 810 was an oldies station; now it appears to be some sort of bizarre info-mercial world mixed in with local religious bits and some talk shows. I see the ownership is still the same, but did they do some lease agreement with someone else? As it is, except for a couple of the local talk shows, the station seems to be a huge waste of potential.
 
As I recall, the original owners wanted to sell it as soon as they got something up and on the air. They originally wanted to go Air America, but something fell through at the last minute... or they changed their mind.. or .. well something happened that kept that original plan from coming about. So they went with Scott Shannon's syndicated format. I guess the COOL 100 fans eventually came around, but the actual take from the station was bringing in must not have been worth keeping that going. They sold to Communicom and it's been what it is ever since.
