WEWS Noon News

Just out of curiosity, why did WEWS scrap the second half-hour of their noon newscast for the show 'Right This Minute' (where they sit behind laptop computers and show random videos)?

Because "Right This Minute" is a Scripps production, and they wanted to give it a good time slot.

I can't imagine RTM is doing well in its time slot. The second half-hour of the Noon news was getting better numbers than its replacement.

Couldn't 5 just re-expand the news to get a better audience?
