WEXC, the Arch effect

Listening to Corey's all request afternoon show, and I have to say he's mixing it up quite well. Hendrix to Glass Harp to Springsteen to Warren Zevon's "Lawyers, Guns and Money". And they bleeped the song, as in "the sh-bleep has hit the fan". I have never heard this song edited before. Guess Mike Arch is keeping himself busy at the station, editing it's music library.

Hmm. Judging from Mike's past legal troubles, I'd say that last song is appropriate. ;-) As for any tampering with music, I'd expect more of that down the line. I figure Arch/Glunt is waiting for the heat over the ownership change to die down before they finally kill the oldies format.

Well, they're doing a fine job of killing it in the late afternoon slot. At 2pm they switched to what seemed to be an insipid automated format. No live DJ. Just the same tired oldies you can hear anywhere. It's a lot more fun when the listeners do the programming. I miss the old jocks.
