With Radio Vermont regaining control of WEXP Brandon (101.5) the station has returned to the air with an Americana format, described by GM Chip Morgan “as a locally hand-curated mixwww.insideradio.com
Chip Morgan has been behind some interesting radio. I spoke to Chip shortly after he put KMUD, a low power FM, on the air from his farm. I learned he had been with The Phoenix, the acoustic version of Radio Lightning. He later took a full power to Farm Fresh Radio with a similar format to KMUD and now adds a third station to his fold with WEXP soon to be KMUD.
While Chip is programming for the music explorer, he stays between the lines by finding that place where nothing sounds out of left field but familiar, melodic and somewhat similar in sound to the hits with with a local feel that is undeniable. His attention to listening experience certainly has created a loyal base at WCLX with their signature single commercial spot breaks.
