WEZX Opening

Okay let me just address what I know here;

Despite any "insider info", I have not been made the Program Director for Cool FM, I have been named the Special Project Manager for Shamrock Communications. That said there will be some Cool FM stuff that I will handle on the local end, but as stated earlier not much to program on a Sat station. I know for a fact that we (TS) did not have a hire before the ad went out. They spoke to some people but nothing was written in stone, in fact they didn't speak to me about it until 2 weeks ago. I also know that they do not have a hire for PM drive on WEZX. I will be on the air until the end of the month as I transition into my new gig.

Keeth...I stand corrected. The classical period of classical music is 1730 to 1820 as described in Wikipedia. 20th century classical is 1900 to 2000. Maybe the term renaissance is overused and used by myself wrong in this instance. I was simply pointing out that the 1966 to 1973 period is considered an important period in art and music, maybe the most important of the 20th century. How are you doing?

Kevin, I do fine, thanks. I play a lot with my grandson and I managed to find some theatrical projects to keep me busy---and one of them is actually a paid gig!!! ;D

Prospector---best wishes to you.

I think we did have a format for geezers (i'm one of them) from 60 to 80..It was called "Music of Your Death....Uh...Life" Their Matt Monroe and Guy Lombardo will be our Mick Jagger and Steven Tyler.

I know plenty of what I'm talking about being in radio...my point is simple:

-The current 18-34 male doesn't have the same love or passion for classic rock as the current 35-54 genre does IMO. So I do feel that 20 years from now...it'll go away with few exceptions. Like I said...the grunge from the 90's isn't considered "classic rock" now nor will it ever be considering it's from a different set and age of artists. You can disagree...but my instincts are right and it's an opinion.

Agree to disagree and move on...no reason for some you to pop a few aspirin to fix your blood pressure!

Rod Steward has already run the gamut, Norm... He started out as a rocker in the late 60's... now he's crooning. How would have thought the guy wearing skin tight tiger jump suits, would have someday been singing "I Love You for Sentimental Reasons" and making a living of it! But then again stranger things have happened...seems like half the cast of PREDATOR was in high political office.

Settle down ladies...no need for anyone to get so worked up that they need a cup of tea to calm their nerves!

Problem is...it's the not the only daypart on that station needs a new host. Just listening to that station since the numbers came out, sounds like each jock is wondering when their time is up...not entertaining, no content.

Speaking of 107 DJ's, Evans has got an excellent "natural" radio voice, however I've never understood his OVER-emphasis when speaking on the radio. Since joining 107 (to me), he sounds like he's been put on some energy pills that make him speak in spurts.

"the home of rock n' roll rock107. NOW FOR MOVIE REVIEWS...EVANS IN PRIME TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HEY MaaaAN WHAT WERE THE CRITICS THINKING HERE PEOPLE???????
