No laptop. It is the 21st century you know:)

WFAA used to stand for "Working For All Alike"

To those who work in the Belo Building it now stands for
"Working For Aloof Amateurs".

It's very sad to see, because when I was in Tyler, I used to want to work for WFAA, and then I got the distasteful experience of working for Belo in San Antonio. I found out the biggest thing missing from Belo is the "w" at the end of their name as in Operating Stations at Belo(w) cost, Belo(w) expectations, Belo(w) average staff.

It's very sad, they used to have one hell of a reputation for all the right reasons, but if that were still true, Tracy Rowlett would still be at WFAA and Randy Galloway would still be at the Dallas Morning News.

Sadly true. It was Mecca admired from afar, but once inside the front door the sheen quickly wore off.

One prominent Producer who was at WFAA for many many years told me when he left that the call signs had new meaning: "We F**k A nyone A nywhere.

Which brings me to question people from other markets who would want to work at We F**k A nyone A nywhere?

Good question. Oh by the way the "spelling bee" champ at ch . 8 did it again.
The story was about a grant. The graphic said "....."recieves" a grant from.."
It's "receive" Apparently they never heard of " I before E except after C".

It was well known in the advertising world, even in the WFAA "glory days", that WFAA stood for "We Fu@# All Advertisers". I was told that by a media buyer in New York (who did not know I had any connection to Dallas) and a TV GM in Louisville, KY. We weren't even talking about Dallas ot TV they both just brought up "this station in Dallas" that Fuc$s all their advertisers.
