She's not the first. Back in '76, around the time I moved from Georgia to Texas,
WXIA Atlanta had a weathergirl, Gail Janus. Her occupation prior to getting into
television: teacher.
 
Don't laugh, he was actually pretty good! At least he wasn't as overdramatic as some of our current forecasters seem to be...........
