WFAN Vs WEPN which is better, listened to most ?

I have noticed more local sports talk shows have been added to WEPN, I sometimes find WEPN more enjoyable then WFAN...Which station do you think is listened to most WFAN or WEPN ? If one station was to flip which station would go first ?

WFAN. I listen fairly regularly and enjoy most of their hosts. Sometimes Mike Francesa really gets on my nerves, and Michael Kay's show can be welcome relief from that. However, I'm really not a fan of Boomer and Carton in the morning, but don't listen to radio at that time of day anyway.

Over here in NE PA we get WFAN fairly well all day and night, the 1040 ESPN booster from New Jersey, WIP 610 in Philly, and the closest of the Fox Sports stations, WSAN 1470 Allentown.

But I'm not one of those guys who takes out a loan and paints his face to attend a professional sports event. So for my leisure's worth, Sporting News radio, heard from WPDC Elizabethtown/Harrisburg on 1600, 'does it' for me more often than the others.

Like Icy here, I'm hardly a morning-drive listener, although I did catch a few snippets of tuneout from Boomer & Carton one day.
Well, maybe that should read 'Carton, Carton, Boomer and Carton'. Also, on one job I was listening for quite a while to the two guys who filled in for Francesa on WFAN this past winter. Fox Sports always has been too top-heavy with acronyms and nicknames for anchors, and not enough actual product.

I've always enjoyed WIP's Howard Eskin, but the rest of their Eagles-Phillies-Flyers-76ers axis keeps me tuned away. WPDC's Sporting News fare somehow stands out AFAIC.

I haven't been too live to non-music radio, so I don't know what the employment situation is for one Bruce Jacobs, formerly from Long Island. But the station who gives this delightfully motormouthed, funny and expressive fellow a shift has a real live wire in the building.

I've found myself listening more and more to WEPN lately. That imaging guy they have over there is money!

If you live in a part of the NY area that can receive both 660 and 1050, you've got a choice! 660 goes everywhere! 1050 doesn't. If 660 is all you can receive, then WFAN is better.

WFAN has nothing to worry about as long as WEPN is stuck on directional 1050 AM. :)

Hey, pjc .....

Thankx for the update. I tuned in the link just before (4-5 PM EST). Jacobs still sounds as though he's getting his feet wet in the 110 degree heat and 0 % humidity, but he cut off a few good lines, the way he did when I'd last heard him, filling in for Lincoln-Kennedy, or whatever their names were, via a local feed on WKOK Sunbury.

KDUS's internet feed/split makes it sound more like the station is owned and operated by the ad council, and that once every half an hour they break away to do sports programming. But it's still bookmarked here. Great to hear this guy again. Thanks once more for the link.
