WFAN's Mike Francesa Launches "Audio Roadshow" iPhone App

http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/a...nveils-audio-roadshow-app-for-mike-francesa-s
Francesa unveiled this Monday on his show. It's got features that are already prevalent in technology (streaming, guest schedules, polls, recording listener feedback). It also has a front page where Francesa will comment on a story that breaks after his show. For example, last night, after Jeremy Lin clinches another Knicks victory with a game-winning three-pointer, Francesa commented on it, and it was posted on the front page of the app. So the app, more or less, is like a glorified personal Twitter service for Francesa to use, without the need of signing up for Twitter. (Speaking of Twitter... let's just say it's not a good sign when you have the hashtag #FutureMikeFrancesaInventions trending on Twitter within an hour of him announcing this "revolutionary" app of his. ::) )

^ - gets it.

@Harry: I'll let Francesa's quote speak for itself: "We are going to delve into the digital end of the business in the near future in a way that will be revolutionary to all radio shows." Basically, it's a guest rundown, a daily poll question, a voice memo recording feature, and Francesa's personal Twitter account all rolled into one nifty little app. Way to be ahead of the curve.

Why don't you speak for yourself and explain what you mean?

I heard he ripped on New Jersey governor Chris Christie on Wednesday. Not for the Whitney Houston half-staff flag issue, but for him appearing at a press conference announcing WWE WrestleMania XXIX for MetLife Stadium next year. I guess Mike has to fill his airtime somehow, right?

I guess that tells you, not that it isn't the first mistruth from Francesa, but perhaps the downloads that the iPhone version of the Audio Roadshow must not be setting the world on fire to the point that it warrants demand for an Android version.
