Cumulus has filed to assign WFAS-FM to VCV America for $7,250,00.00.
Does that mean they will probably go back to analog?

You mean VCY America, right?Cumulus has filed to assign WFAS-FM to VCV America for $7,250,00.00.
They're holding onto WFAS-AM for now.Over 7 million for a signal that covers only a small part of the NY market. I think Cumulus did OK on this deal. Where will they clear their Westwood 1 programming now?
A digital-only AM station that most people cannot pick up.They're holding onto WFAS-AM for now.
I never said it was perfect!A digital-only AM station that most people cannot pick up.
Since the religious broadcaster has a primarily talk based format, being on FM is probably not so important.
It's quite a statement when even religious broadcasters don't want to be on AM if they can help it.
I wonder whether VCV America would have been better off buying WLIB 1190 AM, if it was available for a similar price. I believe WLIB offers better coverage of the Metro area. Since the religious broadcaster has a primarily talk based format, being on FM is probably not so important.
They will do AM, but FM is their thing.
