WFAS-FM moving to NYC

Tuning in from Sandy Hook's North Beach....the clock is ticking on 103.9 and sounds very clear from where I'm at.

My reception from my stereo is 3.5/5 in Jersey city. They need to work on the audio because some songs they played sounds like theres not much bass and less treble.

My reception of WNBM is noticeably better than WVIP. It's booming in just as good as the class B's off empire.

In case anyone missed it they are doing 64 straight hours of commercial-free programming through the holiday weekend.

Cool. I shouldve stated that I had to move the antenna around, now the signal is a 5/5. They're mixing now. Thats the way you start a launch!!!

I just recorded the launch of "Radio 103.9" as of 1:02 PM today. Right before I left to go to the party, I recorded just the ticking of a clock before station launched and it let the whole thing played for over 3 and a half hours of it without interruptions. I just finished recording the first day of "Radio 103.9".

And BTW, the WFAS-FM stream is still on iHeartRadio, but I'll have to check it out. I will post the audio of the launch later on today, because I'm going to record the Macy's 4th of July fireworks on 1010 WINS tonight, so I will post it during the weekend.

Cool! But we dont wanna hear 3 hours of ticking noise ahahaha. happy 4th

In the Lower East Side it comes in decently (with some static) on my stereo. So the car radio should get it much better since that can get the out-of-area stations much easier, like WMTR.
