I'm sure they will like him there. The question is will CHASE like working there.

Me Thinks CHICKONTHERADIO *IS* Nikki Nite.

Here's my question. How's a guy PDing the #2 ranked CHR in the market (#7 overall in the market, in a down trend) get such a huge jump?

You must be joking. Wouldn't it be a little obvious for Nikki Nite to post about Nikki Nite and WFBC as "chickontheradio"? No, I'm not Nikki Nite. Sorry.

Here is a situation to consider that may answer this.

1. Great Talent are locked into multi year $$$ deals.

2.The Talent Pool is really really shallow - no knocks at all on the new PD - infact, props to him -

Have you noticed all the different national seminars are making "WHere to find talent" a major focus of content?

There ain't a lot of great catches swimming around in this pool. A lot of big egos and victim/entitlement consciouness pervading.(example- the folks that post on chatter.)

We don't know this new guys view on the business or the tools he had to work with where he was.

I hope he loves things and has a great time.

Chase is an infectious programmer. He "gets" it. All stations have ups and downs, and his stations make GREAT money. I think he'll do fine at FBC.

He has had opps in some other decent markets, some bigger even. But when you make too much $$ because you've been with the same company for 7 or 8 years as a PD (rare these days) it's hard to jump on those other opps.
