WFBO-lp Flagler Beach is now dark

The way I read the rule, it's where the programming comes from at the time it's airing over your antenna/signal...

Services like Dial Global, Jones and ABC.. everything originates elsewhere as it airs on YOUR station, but Waitt Radio (Dial Global) and other pre-recorded features ORIGINATE from YOUR computer as they eminate from your antenna.

If I had a reason to litigate this issue, I would go to my lawyer with this logic and ask him if we could make a case.

There is a technical difference between produce and reproduce. And their is an established use of these words in broadcasting and the related equipment industries.

There was a time when the influence of the musicians union was able to impact the rules of broadcasting. I vividly remember the era when station had to regularly announce: "The following program contains portions that are mechanically REPRODUCED."

The technical literature of our industry has routinely refered to turntables and tape decks as "audio reproduction machines".

If I had reason to challenge this issue, my lawyer would ask the FCC if the question of "local production" is interchangeable with the term "local reproduction".

O.K. I've spilled all my milk now. I can quit crying.... and writing.
