WFCT

I heard it on my trip last June....I'd be a listener if I lived there.

It's all satellite anyway, so they don't seem to promote much.

I don't think they were ever 100K, and they have no website to my knowledge.

I think they use Dial Global's standards format. If KHAR in Anchorage still has the same bird, you can hear them online @ www.khar590.com

Its a weak 50,000 watts station. Tallahassee used to pick up WFCT-FM 105.5 when they 1st started but WFRF 105.7 took over and bump the WFCT singal.

they are on a different tower now than the one they started on.....I built the first transmitter site....they moved to another tower after an ownership change.....it is near the old site but I couldn't tell you the difference in height.....they might have changed the orientation of the antenna on the tower when they moved it and that can make a MAJOR difference in coverage in a particular direction.

Originally the 105.5 frequency was assigned to Apalachicola as a class "A" channel; however, when co-channel WNFK 105.5 "A" Perry moved to 92.1 "A" it cleared the way for WFCT to upgrade to a class C2. To the best of my knowledge, WFCT has never been a class C1 or higher as class C2 status is fairly well maxed out in that location on that frequency.

During the spring time on a very warm day in Tallahassee as we all know we get those Tampa Bay's stations. WDUV-FM overlap WFCT-FM.
