Did anyone notice that WFEX was off the air for a few days? One could hear WPHX as far south as Nashua along with the W221CH on 92.1 in Lawrence fighting with it west and south of Nashua. Could both WFEX and WPHX be combined into one more powerful FM station on 92,1 rather than the two protecting one another? Why also didn't both stations protest the W221CH? It seems that signal really adversely affects the coverage of WFEX. WFEX use to hit down to Burlington quite easily but not anymore.
 
I always wondered how W221CH ever got approved without a good fight from the Phoenix cause you are right on about the WFEX signal blasting into a good chunk of the Merrimack Valley. I used to get them easily in Chelmsford on a portable radio and even remember back in the WNHQ days there was a billboard for them in Lowell at the Spinners stadium just miles from WJUL 91.5. As far as why the two 92.1's couldn't be one giant signal I couldn't tell ya but would sure be one heck of a signal.
 
Southern Maine and Southern New Hampshire FM stations Northern New Englands largest radio market,
both stations in under-radioed, upscale areas. Huge potential for experienced operator. $1MM each

1220 is pretty much DOA, it's been silent for a couple of months because of transmitter issues that FNX will probably never fix

It's a shame about 1220. It's a pretty good signal. That would be a perfect companion for a station like WJTO/730 in Bath. It would fill-in a lot of holes in the western part of the Portland area. When it was part-time AC and part-time oldies WSME (1976), I was able to listen to it in East Wakefield, NH with no problem. It's a shame someone didn't do something with it..
