WFIL Makes the Big Switch

According to insiders, WFIL 560 will be sold to Triangle Broadcasting and return to Top 40, effective 3PM today. Triangle will LMA the station until the sale is approved by the FCC.

At least this one is somewhat believable as Radio Disney is pretty much a top 40 pop station on AM. However, I don't see 640 being that good in the ratings to breed competitors.

More believable than 92.5 returning to WIFI 92.

Uh, you guys do realize this was an obviously an April Fools joke.

The reference to WFIL's old owners, Triangle. The reference to the "Switch" - an old WFIL jingle package. Here's an idea: WNTP reverts to WIBG and runs 50s and early 60s. WFIL goes to 1964-1978 (in Kahn AM stereo). ;D
