WFLD News set?

I'm thinkin that WFLD is getting a new news set? And this is the reason why they look like they are broadcasting from a clausterphobic closet with small-market lighting and zoom-in on your nose close-ups of the anchors now?Fox was my choice for 9PM news since the years of Chris Long and Robin "Brantley." But they look like a sinking ship!.....................goin down down down!!!Not to mention that they dropped some icons.....................Steve Schill, Bruce Wolf and now phazing out Walter Jacobson.WFLD News is a mess!

I actually like the new if only temporary look. It sure beats the heck out of the typical drab overdonespaceship futuristic type set. This is in a real newsroom which is the whole point anyway. Ch 2 usedto broadcast from their newsroom years ago and they ruled the roost for a long time. I say keep thetemporary look permanent Ch32...you may have hit on something good.

I think their current set looks small=market at best. It's horrible. Awful lighting, camera angles, and the anchors sit too close together. Looks just like Boston TV news and i had trouble with THAT too! Quad Cities news looked better than the current WFLD set.As far as Mark, well I'm not a fan of NBC AT ALLL so he did nothing for me when he moved to Fox. But he don't seem bad to me.

Ok, the new set and graphics have now been unveiled. I like the set, I hate the graphics. It looks TOO MUCH like Fox News Channel..... its too corporate. I don't care for FNC, so this is really a turn-off for me. And I think the most annoying thing is the gradual zoom-in of the anchor's faces, plus they are STILL TOO CLOSE and IN YOUR FACE!Too much hype, too much motion. Can't we just have the news? Chicago is not flashy-fast and zoomy news like LosAngeles or New York. And that's why WGN is the preferred choice, cuz its laid-back. I'm not sure I'm gonna switch to WGN, I just might not care for 9PM news no more, and just wait for WLS.

Hate the new graphics. I guess the bigwigs at Fox don't remember the early 90's when WFLD tried an "in your face" style. That didn't fly in Chicago then and I doubt it will fly now. In the mid-90s, the ratings only went up after the graphics and sets were toned down.

Good gosh they have to burn that spinning bug. Why not just fill the whole screen with it.
I have no right to laugh at this post not seeing what the graphic looks like, but I love how your cup of cynicism runneth over!

It's kinda like Fox New Channel's bug but bigger and spins more noticibly. Sorry no video to link to.
