WFLD News

So after being a Fox 32 news fan since my teens, I'd say over 2 or 3 years ago they lost me as their 9pm newscast became more HYPE and FAST and ZOOM and quick, much like thier parent company's national channel..... this is not L.A. or New York.

I never was into WGN news, but saw how "chicago" it is. My 10pm and AM choice has always been WLS.

So, today I'm watching Fox32 right now, and I'm amazed that its really slowed down again. They're ratings must have really took a huge dump, along with dumping most of the regulars from years gone by except Robin "Brantley"-Robinson, they realized how much they F-d up!!

They still won't attract me back, I'm used to WGN now and its really welcoming. But since Comcast killed off CLTV on regular cable and I won't go digital, WFLD will only be my default if WGN has alternative programming, like tonight.

But good job WFLD, you're changing back to the Chicago way...........

The only time I watch Fox 32's news is when WGN-TV has a game showing around the time the news is normally on. I don't have cable or satellite for financial reasons. I wouldn't mind if WGN-TV made use of their subchannel (when it's mapped) to air the WGN-TV News at 9 on the subchannel when sports is on the main channel. Supposedly, some stations do just that in order to keep certain programming available when it can't be available on the main channel. Otherwise, I'd rather not watch Fox 32's news at all. I like WLS-TV's news at 6am on weekends, 11am monday - Friday, 4pm on Monday - Friday, 5pm on weekends, & 10pm every night. I like WGN-TV's news for the morning news during the week, midday news (watch mainly the noon - 1pm portion, but I do flip between 7 & 9 during the 11am - noon portion), evening news, and the 9pm news (only the 9pm airs nightly while all other times, it's Monday - Friday only)
