WFME -94.7FM Transmitter

It's a big deal depending on the source of the audio. Each audio source (over-the-air; online; satellite) is encoded separately.

While WLTW would be happy with listening to its programming from various sources, if given a choice I'm sure they'd prefer that the PPM pick up the over-the-air signal over the other choices since that's (likely) most beneficial in terms of monetization.
Of course, in areas where the terrestrial signal has poor or no reception, they'd settle for the other two outlets.

According to InsideRadio, Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey made a few comments about the possibility of moving WFME transmitter to the WPLJ facilities in the Empire State Building. " Dickey said the engineering shows it’s already a full-market signal. 'So there’s really very modest incremental gain to moving the station — so we’ll have to make that determination if ultimately it’s worth it,' he explained."
While not specifying what format Cumulus will put on 94.7, he did state, it will be “a flagship for one of our key content initiatives.” That does not seem like a description of a music format.

BS ALERT!!!

If that is the case, why not move WPLJ and save $500k/year rent by placing 95.5 in West Orange?

BS ALERT!!!

How much is rent at 4TS?
