The last time I was in Indy I was in 2 places where they had country music playing. At each place the source of the music was WFMS. Is WFMS still the only country music station in Indianapolis?
Slightly more gold based? When I've been force fed Hank, the Waylon & Willie content has been almost overbearing. I may be able to stomach that 30-40 year old country one song every couple of hours, but not as often as Hank does it. There's a reason they are stuck at a 4 share. A New Hit Country approach would inflict greater damage on WFMS, just as 104.5 the Bear was in the process of doing before it was neutered by placing it on the then signal challenged 93.9.PTBoardOp94 said:WLHK 97.1 has been country for about 4 years. Slightly more gold-based country format, jockless for much of the day. Wank & O'Brien in the morning.

And my compliments go to the owners of WCBK & WKKG for serving their local communities with their good sounding signals. Maybe one day that concept might be applied successfully in the county north of Columbus & east of Martinsville.......N_D_Radioguy said:Hoosierky said:Don't forget WCBK. Not an Indy station nor does it try to be.
WCBK does not reach even half of the market, does not attempt to serve the market and does not consistently show in the market ratings.
Nice folks there at WCBK and they work hard to serve Martinsville and Morgan County but most certainly not in the Indianapolis Country discussion.
**Before someone else brings up WKKG, use the same argument above while subbing the Columbus area and Bartholomew County.
