WFMX's Pending Move - Any Objections?

Just wondering if there's been any outcry per WFMX's move from Statesville to the Triad? You'll note my post on the SC Board of objections filed on WAGI's move. Additionally, Cherokee County Commissioners were vocally against the move in one of their recent meetings. Yet I've not heard of any similar reactions concerning WFMX. Since WFMX is such a big racing station, I thought those in the NASCAR community would have spoken. Thoughts?

It may just not be that big of a deal if you consider the move only. WFMX wasn't much of a player in the Charlotte market, nor was it very much a Statesille-centric station. Lake Norman and points west to Hickory is its big market. They shouldn't suffer much coverage loss.

The big squeal will come when the format is flipped.

Re: WFMX's Pending Move- will this have any implications further west?

Will Clear Channel be able to move any more stations further west as a result of 105.3 moving to Charlotte?
I had thought of something crazy like applying for a change in the frequency allocation tables and moving 104.9 in Asheville to 105.1 and going to a class C something to get better coverage but it looks like there are 105.1's in eastern TN, SC and GA so that probably isn't an option.

In my post I was referring to the WAGI move but forgot to change the subject from WFMX.
