WFNX Boston Sold, What happens to WFEX?

It's been on the block for $1M for the last two years with no takers. If the Clear Channel deal for WFNX closes I assume it will go dark.

There seems to be no word on whether WFEX 92.1 was included in the WFNX sale, the general press seems to have ignored this part of the equation.

Fybush says Bill Blount is buying 92.1 and will simulcast WDER (1320/Derry) on it.

Looks like WDER is Christian-AC or Christian-CHR. This may actually work out for WDER, I'd imagine they could snag a few advertisers interested in being associated with a "positive" format.

Fishy ? How about "holier-than-thou".. Too bad, I bet it could have made a nice local radio station for Peterborough and vicinity for someone.

Howie Carr made several references to the sale this week. Alluding that his future is coming together. So maybe it will just simulcast the CC AM talker.

The nice local radio station thing tried & failed, not once but twice. Peterborough is a quite small town with many many blowtorches coming in from Boston and Manchester.

I was hoping for another T-O-S relay lol

Bring JYY back to 92.1! Was a great simulcast to fill in to the south where JYY gets beat on by WROR in southern parts of NH and northern mass.

With the mess that Nassau is in? Even if WFEX didn't have a new owner, that would never happen. But, I agree-- it was a great simulcast!

I'm pretty sure WDER just airs mostly syndicated religious talk shows, the same type of stuff that is on 590 WEZE in Boston.
