Put this on your shopping list- wfnx domain name(http://wfnx.com ) expires on 6/6/13. For 10 bucks you could own piece of history?Nahh

The online Streams still on at 7:54 AM, just listened to Death Cab for Cutie, maybe they are gonna cease broadcasting later this afternoon, noon, 5pm, etc.

Mindich could sell domain name to a speculator and if you went to their site you might see:

WFNX.com IS AVAILABLE!
PRICE: $2,999.99

;)

OR IS IT?
Just went to wfnx.com and they're playing Oasis.

But the movers are due later today...
They may have already relocated. It's been a bizarre day, veering from obscure to out-of-character (Blondie, De la Soul, Boomtown Rats) to long blocks (Suede, later New Order/Joy Division) to a loop of Merchandise's Become What You Are (long version) interspersed with DJ3001 muttering "Whatever, man." Thought that was signalling the end, but now they're back to a mix of semi-obscure stuff and classics now, still going at 9:48PM (Smiths, Stop Me).

Heh, that last scheduling was done by none other than Michael Marotta. Posted on his fb: 'Leaving WFNX by setting Merchandise's 11 minute epic "Become What You Are" on repeat for an hour, separated only by DJ 3001 saying "whatever, man."'

At least they are having some fun with the ship going down...

Looks like WFNX's Facebook page is still up, but the profile picture and the cover photo is just black. Looks like I'm back to listening to Radio BDC, hopefully they don't shut down, since The Boston Globes for sale.

Huh, looks like they must be back on an automation, I thought they shut down, but their online stream is on, their playing It's the end the of the world as we know it by REM, oh now it's back to dead air, 2:35 PM, I'm confused ???

Do you think they had moved their location overnight, because it looks like they were playing music from 1PM to about 2:35PM.
It started at 1:35PM, and the first song back was Arcade Fire's We Used To Wait. I happened to try it about 1:40, and was surprised to hear something (Nick Cave, I think). Song History went from Sea Wolf last night to Arcade Fire. I figured that it meant they had relocated overnight, but have no idea what this one hour stint means. Demoing the equipment for a prospective buyer? Training someone who is now in the process of moving it? Facebook page has a drawing of a coffin and a Goodbye post, so no hope offered there.

I guess they might be selling their equipment to buyers, only because of Mindich's announcement that "WFNX.com wouldn't continue as it was".

The stream is back on today, since (at least) 11:30AM. Music only - no ads, IDs, or imaging. Maybe a placeholder to retain control of the domain?
