Does anyone know what happen to Chris Baker and Mike Matson who filled in for Kevin Geddings (aka) Kevin Leslie on news talk 1240 Wfoy morning show while Kevin was on trial in NC they where funny and good on air like big market guys

I agree this thread may be better suited for the North Florida Board, but it is a great question. I wish I knew the answer to the question, but I haven't listened to WFOY in years... Is it still news-talk? Does Douglas Shull still own it? I remember WFOY at one time had an FM station - WFOY-FM 97.7. That later became WUVU then moved to 97.9 with a power increase to 50,000 watts. That station is now WFKS KIss FM licensed to Neptune Beach and kicking Jacksonville with a CHR format doing well against WAPE.

Ah, WFOY. My very first radio gig.

It was full-service then (circa 1946), and I was describing to Frankie Walker over the phone what I wanted for Christmas.

I still have the transcription somewhere.
