WFPG's huge signal

nd2023

Banned
During yesterday's tropo opening I was able to pick up WFPG in Manhattan, just a few blocks west of Hot 97's transmitter. Their IBUZ was off, so that might have helped. I wasn't able to get WAYV due to a pirate on 95.1, but that station also has a huge signal, along with 107.3. I have gotten WFPG from Virginia Beach to Cape Cod in the past few years. Every night in the summer, it has the biggest signal in New Jersey (just sucks that Delilah is on in the night). It has more coverage than many 100kw blowtorches. I have also heard WAYV and WPUR from Long Island to Virginia Beach.
Not bad for a station with half its signal in the water.

I know that when I have to go up to North Jersey, Cat Country 107.3 and Lite Rock 96.9 are the only Atlantic City stations I can reliably get on 287.

From Essex County, I was receiving a lot of stations from South Jersey and Ocean City, MD. I got 93.5 (somewhere in Delaware, first time catch) 95.1(crystal clear! over multiple pirates), 96.9, 97.3 ( which is now ESPN radio) 98.5, 99.9 (Ocean City, MD, first time catch), 100.7 (fighting it out with WHUD), 103.7, 103.9?, 104.7 from Ocean City, MD (first time catch) 104.9, 105.7, 106.5, and 107.3

This tropo for me was more exciting than the recent e-skips.
