WFPS Bad Bad Audio

OK I Know I am an audio nut, but what the heck has happen to the processing over at FPS... Me and my wife were driving around the other day and since I cant see to drive I play dial puncher :). I decided to check out 92.1 and man I could not tell if the audio was 180 degrees out of phase or if somebody not knowing anything about how to properly set up a good audiochain was let loose... There was no midrange or any decent upper end audio, and there was way to much bass... It just sounded bad... I have defended Big Radio in other post, but this time I feel the need to share my thoughts... Who does the CE for them... Just curious... CC1

I know you have defended them, why I don't know. Maybe your close to a 100 and don't know any better.
They are bad, Peroid. I listen to wxxq and Wcci out of Savanna now because 92.1 is bad......bad.
It's a shame you don't live in the area and hear what people who used to listen are saying now. Bad....bad!

LOL somedays I feel close to a hundred :). Once Big Radio took control of the Freeport stations things started slowly going down hill... All I know is that FPS has some tech issues that need to be addressed... Maybe by the time I turn 101 they will be fixed... CC1

Not being a radio genius, I too have noticed a difference in the overall "sound quality" in WFPS versus other stations in the Rock Valley area. Just by flipping back and forth from WFPS to WXXQ it sounds dramatically different. Why should that be?

Also, have to agree with Short Waiver, even excellent processing won't make up for poor talent. It's bad!

It's sad, It's sad for Freeport. It's sad for anyone who enjoys good radio. It's sad for what that station
used to be. It's sad for what it has become after years of being treated like an after thought from Radio
Works than from Maverick and now from "the Wisconsin People", My only hope and prayer Is that
The rumors of a former Wfps employee having secured the funds to start a new station in the Freeport
area are true.

I have heard that as well. Let's hope that happens cause Freeport deserves to have
