WFRB moving to 105.7

Or at least their 98.5 repeater? I briefly heard a liner today on WFRB 105.3 stating to set your presets to 105.3 and 105.7. Does this mean Cumberland will be getting a new full power on 98.5?

It's possible...there have been other move ins.....like 100.5 and 99.5....but I don't think the local economy can support any more stations in Cumberland....but that's just my opinion. A simulcast of 99.5 might work.

Agreed. I am not sure how the economy in Cumberland can support what it already has. It was a tough go back when it was just WCUM AM/FM, WUOK, and WTBO/WKGO.

I thought the same thing of simulcasting WTBO on 98.5. Or, put the talk programming from 560 on 98.5.

The only thing I can think of is that K-Love affiliate from Confluence on 98.5 might be pushing for a better signal, or at least not have interference from a repeater to the south.
