WFSB 8AM News; Very Bizarre. . .

Normally, the Saturday morning edition of Eyewitness News runs from 6 to 9. This morning, the 8am block opened with Matt McFarland covering a murder live from Bridgeport. Then to Mike Cameron for a weather update. Cameron throws it back to Hena Daniels who announces that they are switching to children's programming now at 8:05. Very strange. . .

It's not strange. WFSB often runs its E/I kids programming in the 8AM time slot when CBS has sports commitments. Today it's College Football Navy vs. Notre Dame live from Dublin, Ireland at 9AM followed by US Open Tennis at Noon.

So that's why I'm getting CBS Sports at 6:30 in the morning here in Seattle (KIRO)! Very interesting to say the least.
