From FTVLive:

WFSB News Director Gary Brown is leaving the station to take a job at KGTV in San Diego.

Brown will join the station in sunny SoCal during the November book, his last day at WFSB is Oct 27th.

My comment: Before going to Hartford, Gary was news director at Channel 12. I worked for Gary, and he was a decent guy to work for. He hasn't been in Hartford that long either! At any rate, I wish Gary luck with his new gig in San Diego. From what I have been reading on other websites, things at KGTV aren't that great...very low morale, huge problems between McGraw-Hill (owners of KGTV) and the Union. Hopefully, with Gary coming in, they will be able to work out thier issues and move on. Good luck Gary!

Lucky guy. KGTV is a great station that I used to enjoy watching while there. At least it was great from a viewers perspective. I can't comment on working conditions. I'm sure things will be fine. Have fun at Channel 10 Gary!

I believe the assistant news director is taking over for the time being.
