WFSI Sold?

With all the talk of 107.9 being for sale I was wondering how does the signal do in the DC market. Looking at maps from the FCC i see that it blankets most of the DC and Baltimore markets similar to 99.1 fm but how does 107.7 Warrenton impact 107.9 in metro DC. Does it hurt 107.9 in Northern VA.

The 107.7 uses the IBOC so the 107.9 reception in northern VA is likely to be difficult.
WFSI has a 93.5 translator in Frederick, MD. Did that just got turned off?

The story on the Philadelphia board is that CBS has bought both stations. Haven't heard a rumor of what they plan to do with the Maryland station, but most likely the Camden, New Jersey outlet will be KYW-FM.

107.9 can be picked up all along the VA side of the river on a car radio...even an iffy signal here in Fredericksburg. 99.1 has the far superior NoVA signal...I'm guessing because 107.7 puts a city grade signal in much of Northern VA, and 99.1's signal and TX are fairly new and a little closer to DC.

In DC proper, a walkman can usually get 99.1, 107.9 just doesn't seem to come in as well...and there, 107.7 isn't much of an issue. I wouldn't be surprised if like many Jesus-casters if the 107.9 signal has antiquated equipment and isn't broadcasting at peak performance.

And if DCRTV is right and El Zol moves to 107.9, are they just gonna shut off the stereo and put news/talk on a 2nd DC FM or HFS-type format? 98Rock in Baltimore and DC101 have no real competition besides themselves on the Maryland side...
