So, now that the ink has dried and Family Radio is soon to relinquish control of 107.9, I must ask:
Has anybody been to the WFSI transmitter site in recent years? If so, how bad is it equipment-wise there? A lot of our Philly friends say that Family's WKDN site is pretty bad using equipment from the Nixon years and will need an extreme makeover to get the station back to a full-market signal.
And regardless of the xmitter site condition, could we see a move to the 99.1 stick in the future? I'm not sure how it would work with 107.7 being 60-70 miles away, but unless its a severe directional null towards there, it would slightly improve DC coverage without messing with the Ball'mer signal too much. Not to mention, it saves some $$ by not having a separate transmitter site that needs maintenance, painting, etc., etc.
