I went back through your old posts before accusing you of being one of those who bitches about how bad radio is today. You aren't, but still, considering how many people have problems with today's commercial radio, offering an alternative is not a bad thing. They might even play some music that you like in between "Democracy Now!" and the "Left-Handed Armenian Lesbian Hour."

Well, maybe when Scranton city council finally gets their way and shuts down the public access cable channel, WFTE can air the council meetings.

I agree..yawn. I've seen Free Speech TV, and that alone scares me.

Mark Jeffrie's, my goodness, left handed Armenian lesbian hour.... I guess that about sum's it up and cover's it.... I'm sure we'll all look forward to it.

They have until February 2011 to get the station on the air. They have to come up with all of money to put it on the air.

While money to get the station on air may exist, are there enough Progressives to keep it going?

The programming will have to serve the actual needs of the community (not just the Far Left) or the average NEPA listener won't donate.

I do not think they are going to make the time line. They have alot of work.

1. Build a tower.

2. Build a studio.

It's going to be very hard when you are trying to sell one Raffle Tickets and each one is $100.00

I wish you good luck.

WBAI-FM 0.1 147,400 (ratings for presumably comparable NYC station)

This doesn't bode well, but the comparison may be unfair. WBAI doesn't play Lefty and the Polka Chaps!

Isn't there one of these stations in the Lehigh Valley, somewhere around 91.5? I remember picking up polkas by some guy that sounded like it was out of his kitchen. Could only pick it up from the tunnel to the quakertown exit.
