WFTE Gets A Simulcast

The Translator Is For Scranton/Wilkes-Barre At 105.3 ... The 90.3 Transmitter Is In Mt. Cobb And Will Not Cover The Metro Area Well Enough Without The 2nd Frequency. You Can Hear The Same Music That WYCY And WMRV Play On Any Number Of Stations In The Area. WFTE Will Be Something Different That This Area Does Not Currently Have And Deserves. Our Apologies If You Can't Hear Your Out Of Town Stations.

The guy that ownes the translator WB289BE 105.7 had the True Oldies Channel on it before putting WVOS on the translator. It was nice to hear the True Oldies Channel on a FM channel. Any how why do they need translator? You are not going to have me as a listener!!

What makes you think I listen to Rush and Savage. I do not listen to them. We do not need another talk station. I think

Since You've Been Nothing But Negative About The Station Since We First Announced, I Figured There Must Be Some Reason For It Besides The Fact That You Like To Listen To Out Of Town Radio.

I live near Hamlin on top of a hill.

I do not move my antenna with the HD-TV channels because I do not have cable lines running down my road. I have a dish. I can pick up WNEP 16.1 and 16.2, WYOU, WBRE, and WVIA if the dish goes out. If I move my anntenna they fade out. I can also pick up WBNG Channel 12 but my antenna has to be in the right spot.

The out of town radio stations sound better then some of the stations around here. The way I have my antenna set I can pick up. I mostly listen to WSPK K104.7fm from Poughkeepise, New York, they are live 24/7 and I also pick up WHUD 100.7 they are live 24/7. Can any one name one station in the Scranton / Wilkes-Barre area that is live 24/7? I can also pick up WPDA 106.1 that is WPDH 101.5 Classic Rock and WZAD 97.3 that is WXKP 94.3 Country from Poughkeepise, New York. I was born in Poughkeepise so it's nice to listen to the stations I grew up with. I also pick up WNNY 103.7, WHCY 106.3, WJGK 103.1, WTSK 96.7, WVOS 95.5, WSUL 98.3, WKIP 99.3 News Talk. I can also pick up WLEV 100.7. I also pick up New York City stations Now 92.3, Fresh 102.7 and Z100.

Now if I turn my antenna then I pick up the Scranton / Wilkes-Barre stations and I also pick up WMRV 105.7

You Showed The 106.1 Translator Coverage Area ... Not The 90.3 Coverage Area. Once Again ... The 90.3 Transmitter Is In Mt. Cobb And Will Not Cover The Scranton Area Effectively Without The Translator Which Will Be On The Same Tower As The One For 106.1.

WFTE Needs The Translator To Reach It's Projected Audience.

I Don't Understand Your Argument. Just Because The Station Doesn't Appeal To You Doesn't Mean Other People Won't Want To Listen To It.

Like I said WFTE does not need to be simulcast. How many people do you think are going to be listening to WFTE?

More than people are expecting, I would guess.

But I tend to agree with you, Roger.
I mean, if they can't get a good signal out with 2000 watts, something's not right!
Yeah, I know, there are peaks and valleys, but still....

They are looking for the support of the community to give them money to run the station. Having a simulcast means they need more money. There is alot of people that are not working because they lost there jobs and money is tight. Are they going to have a automation system or are they going to be live 24/7.

I See No Reason For Further Discussion On This ... Our Mission Will Proceed As Planned.

Again We Apologize If You Won't Be Able To Hear Your Out Of Market Radio Stations.
