WFXT Fox 25 sub channel

I did a local scan and I found a new sub channel for WFXT 25.2 does anyone know about this at all? Be nice of it was Antenna TV.

Should be Movies!, a new movie subchannel from Fox. It's supposed to debut on Memorial Day, May 27th.

You are right I found it in a search starts next Monday. Listed in some local markets not everyone is getting it yet.

Using my trusty ole Insignia STB, WFXT:25.2-31 shows the bouncing โ€œno signalโ€ screen, but the signal meter shows a signal as strong as 25.1!

Odd, I watched 25.1 a couple of times this past weekend (May 17, 18) and didn't see any 25.2. And that was after a couple of re-scans. Maybe they only turn 25.2 on sometimes?

Anyway, here's the article

I wonder why it's taking the O&Os so long to add additional channels? Only a few months ago, WCBS-TV 2 NYC added a 2.2 which runs short versions of their most recent newscasts, along with some other material, as an inexpensive local NYC news channel. WBZ hasn't started one yet. Meanwhile in the Portland market, both the NBC and ABC affiliates have similar News & Weather channels.

You'd think every market would have something similar, if not several. Same for carrying the various Classic TV subchannels, Me-TV, Antenna, etc. Why would a GM only run one channel on his station? Why not have a couple more revenue streams? I assume it costs little to carry subchannels.

As for FOX of Hartford, WTIC-TV 61-2 is Antenna TV. The only news subchannel we have is Eyewitness News NOW, which is WFSB-TV 3-3 of Hartford.

They now have 3/4 cb (added sometime since mid-late morning).

"Antanna TV" would've been better to put on there, or on (62.1-which is now "Cozi TV") I hope someone in Boston pickes up "Antanna TV" They have some pretty good oldschool TV shows. But for now, I'm happy to have "Me TV" which is on 5.2

MOVIES! is nothing more than a commercial ota version of the old FOX MOVIE CHANNEL, with the same tired old library of 20th Century Fox Library titles from the 1935 (The year of the 20th/Fox Merger) in the late 1970's-Early 1980's.

The same unremastered stuff they are put out on DVD-R on MOD.

Okay now the question is:

When will Comcast add it? And what channel will they put it on? They seem to be running out of room for subchannels.

Actually many of the movies in the promo reel and on the schedule are columbia titles plus movies! is co-owned by weigal broadcasting so it isn't going to be the fox movie channel.

They've got to take the station ID graphic off the bottom of the screen. It's ruining the enjoyment of the channel.

The bottom screen BUG is gone (and the aspect ratio is now widescreen)!

Yayyyyyyyyy!!! :) :D :) ;D

I noticed too. THANK GOD! Now I can actually enjoy a movie. I kept the channel off since that bug annoyed me way to much to watch it.

If you noticed, it was there even during commercials, and that is a no-no, so it obviously was a true โ€œbugโ€. ;)

As of yesterday, the channel is now on Comcast 296 (albeit in SD).

Great!
Now all they have to do is add WUTF:66.2 (โ€œBounceโ€) and Iโ€™ll be happy! ;D
