WGAC's Austin Rhodes in Hot Water

I think broadcasters in the future should avoid the phrase "Nappy headed ho"

Good, it keeps them from taking action that might actually improve the lives of the people this organization is suppose to represent

Hopefully that comment is "toung-in-cheek" as if the peoples represented were "improved," I believe they would realize just how much of a promoter of the Black stigma this "beautiful female" [sic] really is. Thank God for the great people , like Mr. Ryan Clark, who lived to disprove the stigma by their actions, not rhetoric.

Mr. Rhodes nailed it. His timing was off. He should have known that anybody with an agenda and a desire for the public limelight would latch onto his words & drag him down by them. Even if it is an act of double-standard.

Apparently, I was not clear.
The NAACP is suppose to represent the advancement of African-Americans in the United States. When they become involved with side shows such as this and other nonsense that promote media whores such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, they are not paying attention to methods and means that would improve the lives of African-Americans. For example, after 40 years of affirmative action one would think the number of African-American college graduates would be higher than it is. If rap music represents life in an African-American community, why are their lives so blighted by poverty, drug addiction and dereliction of parenting? Why is it acceptable in her community for an African-American woman to have more than one child by more than one father and still remain unmarried and unemployed? One would think that the NAACP might what to address serious economic, educational and cultural issues rather than focus on the next stupid thing some over-the-hill white guy said.
