What has happened to WGAD in Gadsden? That station was a driving force in Gadsden radio for 50+ years. Since last August it has went downhill. The longtime morning guy was ousted and replaced by a less friendly and less talented individual. The entire staff, including some real talented people was axed. Most have moved on to really good things! The ratings, well they no longer exist. The new staff that was then put on the air a year ago has also faded. WHAT HAPPENED? I noticed for the first time in over 40 years WGAD will not even have football on the air this fall. What corporate nuthouse bought and ruined that station? Its clear to see the radio company that bought the station is letting some yahoo (probably in his early 20's) run the place in the ground. This is a clear sign of "we just want money" and "forget our programming, think money" corporate mentality.

Actually the person that bought the station has a lot of experience under his belt. Unfortunately the way that the station was running before was too expensive (I know). Perhaps goods things are in the future of GAD.

Ah say, bro, you being a bit harsh about my main-man, Dave. WGAD has to be one of the most UNCORPORATE operations around. Give him a couple of years to pull it all together and let's have this conversation again.

Under the previous ownership the station was in danger of going down the toilet in financial disaster and taking two sister operations with it.

Hey, I wish him the best. and since I now know that it is a un-corporate operation, I like the guy already. Maybe he can take the station back to glory!
