WGBA's sports to be outsourced to TMJ4

Journal Broadcast Group revealed on Tuesday that the sports coverage on Green Bay's WGBA (NBC26) will soon be handled by the sports department at WTMJ in Milwaukee. With this move, longtime NBC26 sports anchors Ted Stefaniak and John Burton will leave the station "in the near future."

More here from the Green Bay Press-Gazette

Journal wasn't done cutting yet

Now, not soon after Journal used the axe on WGBA's sports department, they clean the axe and use it once again:
* All weekday morning local newscasts on NBC 26 have been cancelled, including the 5-7AM, 9-10AM, and midday newscasts
* They are replaced by simulcasts of WTMJ-TV's morning and midday news, along with their "Morning Blend" talk show (though local weather cutaways remain on NBC 26)
* Morning anchor Dean Leisgang and reporter Lacy Crisp were let go, while morning reporter Allison Sossaman will move to general assignment reporter and weekend anchor
* Four full-time positions and one part-time position were eliminated, and three full-time positions were reduced to part-time status
