Where I live, about 28 miles due north of Boston, WBUR and WGBH come in almost equally well (WBUR's pattern shows 1.000 at zero degrees, so I apparently receive as good a signal as Boston itself). Since I often tune to shows that are on WBUR exclusively ("On Point" or "Here and Now"), my home radio is oftern already tuned to WBUR; in my car, the fact that the pushbutton is at arm's length makes it easier to flip. Between the end of the NPR news feed and the start of the next program, WBUR is more likely to have a local news insert, another plus.
