WGBH-FM To Air An Alec Baldwin Marathon

Today (Tuesday 11/26) I noticed that WGBH-FM in Boston is running promos for its plan to air consecutive Alec Baldwin interviews originally broadcast on WNYC-FM in, well, NYC on Thanksgivingukah. Today, MSNBC announced it was discontinuing the interview series it had been running on Friday nights. Baldwin has found himself in "hot water" over perceived anti-gay expletives he uttered in a confrontation with a tabloid photographer. Will WGBH reconsider if there's any blowback by its listeners, contributors and underwriters? They have just one day to decide.

All the interviews they're broadcasting were taped so WGBH is aware of the contents. Baldwin has in the past gotten positive reviews for his WNYC radio shows. He's even done the commentary on NY Philharmonic concerts. It's only when he is free-ranging that he seems to have had these outburst. Maybe after listening to Beethoven's Fifth Symphony!
