WGBY duplication on Comcast in the Springfield, MA Area

During this past week I noticed WGBY-57 is airing on Comcast-Westfield's channel position 97 in addition to to regular channel 2 position (and the digital channel position of 897). The channel 97 version is the same programming and is a few seconds ahead of the channel 2 version. The onscreen TV guide even has 97 listed as "WGBY". Anybody know why they would have two WGBY's now? Excuse my poor memory, but was there anything on channel 97 previous to this change?

Not on analog, no. I do not know about the digital tiers.

I have Comcast from Cherry Hill, NJ. They're doing the same thing with WHYY. It is on Channel 12 and 97. The only thing I can think is that the broadcast on channel 97 is an analog signal being passed through by Comcast. Most if not all of Comcast's "analog" cable lineup is also being sent digitally to the digital boxes.
