WGCI: Bye Bye "Crazy", Hello Mr. Harvey....

Will Crazy go to V103 or will Doug Banks? Weird moves... Wouldn't it make more sense to put Steve Harvey on V103? He's more "old school". Doug's show is hip-hop and not much better than Crazy Howard's (if at all).

Is this just another example of why CC has become known as "cheap channel"? Surely they are only dumping Joyner because his show has probably become too expensive. But is it smart to let Joyner possibly end up over at WSRB? Even with their crappy signal, Joyner has a huge loyal following.

Wow... Elroy is barely out the door and all hell is breaking loose over there! Hope you know what you're doing Earl... oh, and Darren.

I guess the one smart thing they did do is bring in Derrick Brown to program V103. I just hope they give him a morning show he can work with. That's all I'm saying...
 
Maybe they're planning on having Doug do a local show? V103's demo is very familiar with him from 'BMX and 'GCI. They're older now. His syndicated show isn't doing that well. As far as TJMS, I don't think it'll be a threat to SHMS because of signal and the fact that SHMS just sounds fresher IMHO.

Joyner's show is getting dumped because it's affiliated with Radio One.

RO is the real dumb bells. They acuired a show that didn't deliver results for stations that they moved him to including the outright massacare of KKBT/LA and now he won't even have full coverage if he even still has coverage(if Crawford accepts him.)

Good going Stepfather Majors Bear, Mama Bear, and Son Bear, even Goldilocks couldn't mess up this bed as bad as you did.
 
Once again, Josh. Please get past your hatred of Radio One and look at the facts; Tom's show has been in need of an update long before RO's ownership. Tom refuses to change and his show has outlived its usefulness. V103 can make more money by dropping Tom and doing a local, better programmed show.

It has nothing to do with an imagined CC vs. Radio One/Reach Media/TJMS rivalry.

I would agree. The TJMS hasn't really changed a lot since its debut in 1994 (with the exception of a format change from mainstream Urban to Urban AC). You STILL have "Express Yourself", "Its Your World" and the same old tired comedic bits. I understand one has to use what works, but after awhile you have to think of new ideas to keep people listening. The show would probably be better if J. Anthony Brown took control. TJMS has gotten really old, really quick that is why Steve Harvey is doing a lot better than Tom Joyner.
 
I agree. Put J.Anthony Brown in charge along with George Wilburn from the Michael Baisden show.

I believe with those two. You'll have a great UAC Morning show.
 
Josh's alleged hatred of R1 notwithstanding, Alfred Liggins must be feeling like a world class numbskull considering R1 used to own the SHMS but dumped him. Steve's definitely having the last laugh here!
 
Hey anaycat....Earl the pearl doesnt make any decisions AT ALL...he must contact his superiors to even use the bathroom...so, this isnt him, its his awful superiors - he just delivers the news. He cant make any decisions or else he would be sent back to atlanta to rejoin the losers here.
