WGCL CBS Atlanta Latest problems

so Apparently the news director has all of a sudden to let go Cris Martinez - meteorologist/severe weather specialist and news anchor JaQuitta Williams. Stephany Fisher now has to solo anchor 4, 6 and 11 p.m. bernard Watson still anchors at 5 p.m. but that is it. now the Storm Tracker Weather Team is Down to 4 meteorologists, Markina Brown, Paul Ossman, Jennifer Valdez, and Weather Producer Rodney Harris. Rondey Harris though is not a official meteorologist; and his voice is VERY annoying.

Does anyone even watch them? I havent watched their news for years. I guess since Jane Robelot was there. Just shut down the news operation and play reruns of the brady bunch.
 
Now this is downright embarrassing. Jacquitta Williams was the veteran anchor with the most news experience in the market on their news staff. It's kind of pathetic the way things are spiraling for WGCL.
 
That does it, I will no longer watch CBS Atlanta. Jaquitta Williams was the best anchor they had because Stephany Fisher after all these years is stiff and they praise her as if she's Monica Pearson. Fox 5 and WSB it is!!!
 
I am wondering if WGCL is making a play for Amanda Davis. It makes no sense they would let Jaquitta Williams go... unless they had an A+ replacement.

They could put Paul Ossman on at 11 p.m. along with Amanda and you'd have Fox5 on 46... all over again.
 
They should have kept JaQuitta Williams, team her up with Amanda Davis as the prime-time team..and maybe they would have seen a bump in their ratings

Thank God JaQuitta Williams is gone! Her on-air delivery of the news is so dramatized and over the top with all her ad-libs, moans and noises! She's awful! She also brought out the worst in Stephany Fisher with their back and forth giggling like 2 school girls! Their newscasts were absolutely ridiculous all the way around!

Rich Noonan was by far the BEST anchor CBS 46 ever had. Too bad he got hosed when management just HAD TO bring in a black male anchor (I think it was Tony Harris) just for the sake of being black.

You know... when she first started at Channel 2, I felt just like RadioFreak. I was not a fan of her delivery. But I really warmed up to her. I think she's fantastic. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion...

Biil Gaines took over for Rich Noonan in 2006.
