WGDJ Power Boost-Big Deal?

WGDJ has been bragging up their power increase but so far I haven't been impressed. In what areas has the reception improved? Can someone report getting the signal now where you couldn't get it before? There's still a lot of interference around the Watervliet-Latham area after sunset.

The signal is definitely stronger to the North and to the East. Tuning between WGDJ and their one time competitor WDDY-1460 (WWCN) in those areas, the difference is really noticeable. Previously, 1300 and 1460
were pretty equivalent in those directions. The after sunset interference that you are receiving is primarily
WJMO-Cleveland and WAVZ-New Haven, both of which send significant lobes in this direction at night....

It also means folks on virginia ave and surrounding neighborhood in colonie can expect to hear god in their pipes, and tooth fillings even stronger now. try tuning yur radio to anything else on that street. it's impossible.

You must be referring to 1540 which is a complete waste of the only other 50kw AM facility in the market besides WGY.....Besides....I think they pull the plug on it around 10PM every night now....Than you get to hear god out of Waterloo, IA instead....
