WGHP FOX 8 Sold

While FOX Programming Nationally may be performing poorly, in Greensboro it holds its own. WGHP is one of FOX's Shining Stars, out-performing and over-archiving on many levels.

They were able to maintain their ABC-News operational links with other ABC stations in the state when they switched from ABC to FOX. It handicapped WXLV's news operations, which eventually disappeared. It allowed their news to continue growing, even surpassing other ABC affiliates in the state.

FOX's ratings in Greensboro are some of the highest in the country as a result of their established news operations and other programming changes that FOX has made over the years.

Thank You DubbaDon!!! No, I don't think WTVD or WRAL get the best operation award. Either of those two would not fare well in the Triad. And ABC can- well, enough said. Just Leave Fox 8 Just Like it is!

How about Charlie Harville, Bobbi Martin and to steal a couple from Charlotte..Clyde "Cloudy" McClain, Bill Walker...
Bill Walker definitely.

I think Charlie Harville is dead. I know Clyde McLean is, and he looked pretty close to it for years after retiring. I missed him, but the man was always sick.

To relate this to radio since this is a radio board, I get my weather from Van Denton. I listen to a Dial Global standards station for two hours after the kitchen clock radio comes on for Paul Harvey at 8:30 (minus the time I spend walking for exercise prior to 9:00, when the morning show is local anyway), if I stay home to fix lunch and (twice a week) wash dishes.

After I get back from my walk, there are three commercial breaks before 10 and two before the radio turns itself off. Van is on during each one of them. ::)

To find out what actually happened, I tape the Fox affiliate in Charlotte between 10:15 and 10:25. I don't actually know whether my temperature is closer to the one in Greensboro or the one in Charlotte.

I also know Bobbi Martin did..How about Frank Deal?
