WGLD Red Lion

The request by Susquehanna for Special Temporary Authority for silent WGLD-AM Red Lion was dismissed today by the FCC. Presumeably 1440 now officially joins the ranks of dead AMs.

....but assuming Cumulus gets the live FMs in the sale, they also
get the WGLD call letters thrown in?

If the AM station is now dead according to FCC rules, the call letters would also die at the same time and go back into the pot of available calls. There is no FM or TV using WGLD. Some oldies station should grab them.

Sus. must have given up the WGLD call letters there also. There is no WGLD call in FM Query from the FCC website.

That's very old info---they went "Jack" months ago, back in the Spring---that's why SusQ parked the calls at Red Lion, so no one else in that market could grab 'em.
