Sorry to see the station sold, but I'm sure K-Love will have a good audience in Lafayette (in my esperience K-Love comes to a market before Air 1). I worked there 1995-96 with Dan McKay and the whole gang, I board op-ed Paul Poteet's show and did weekends and/or overnights live....at that time we were live and local for the most part.

I've been gone from Lima since October of 2006. Took the PD gig at a Christian station in Bangor, Maine, but that didn't work out so I've been back in Indy since July '07. Working out of radio right now. Where are you these days?

The non-comm CCM stations in Terre Haute, Danville, IL, Champaign/Urbana, Rockford, Decatur, IL, Peoria and near St. Louis, are all owned by the Illinois district of the Assemblies of God. There may be others by now.

There are only 2 Indy stations; WBRI-AM owned by a company in South Carolina with an all-program format and WTLC-AM owned by Radio-One geared to the African-American religious community.

Lafayette, Kokomo and Anderson stations are part of the Moody network and have a little bit of local input.

Obviously K-Love is growing in central Indiana but it's strictly a satellite feed; no local input. However, nowadays to purchase a radio station with any power at all is VERY expensive. I'm for whichever way provides the local churches and fellowships the best way to have local contacts.
