Chuck, I am in Charlotte, NC these days. I worked at a few stations in South Florida. WAXY, WFTL,WGBS, WQAM, WGMA and WCKO to name a few. It was a wild ride at times but I managed to stay employed.
As for "The Lady" being an answer to anything, well I have no idea what they were thinking! It crashed and burned rather quickly. I grew up in Hollywood and always thought it was cool that we had our own radio station.
After that 1320 was sold to Sunshine Wireless owners of WKQS (now WKIS) and they put the "Music of Your Life" format on the station which did well for awhile. Coincidentally they changed the call letters to WLQY which were the first call letters used by Y-100.
