WGME cuts off Obama press conference

The Sinclair-owned CBS outlet abruptly cut away at 11:57AM to present its midday newscast without a word of explanation to viewers. Did this also happen at other CBS (or other network) affiliates?

Let's keep this focused on broadcasting, not politics. The last thing I want is for this discussion to be moved to "Take it Outside."

Thanks Maine-i-ac! WGME briefly faded to black before starting the newscast so I was almost 100% certain it was a local decision and nothing to do with CBS.

It's a safe bet that other CBS affiliates did NOT cut off the President, but other SINCLAIR-owned stations did. They're the Salem of TV.
